Its Full Moon time again, a time when the stimuli you have been feeling comes to a head, a time when the things that need to happen tend to happen. The Full Moon occurs on 03/29/2010 at 10:25P EDT. This Full Moon should be somewhat less stressful than the last few as it doesn’t make as many major aspects. It does however highlight Venus again, or should I say still? Venus will sextile Neptune earlier that same day and Mercury will sextile Neptune two days later on 03/31/2010. The relationship and self worth issues of the past several months, which have begun to express themselves externally will receive a burst of confusion, negativity or on the other side of the coin, unwarranted enthusiasm or emphasis, all credited to Neptune. With Mercury thrown into the mix this means not only will you feel it but others just might get to hear about it too. The outworn, outdated modes of being that are feeling increasingly difficult to continue to carry on are feeling even more wrong now. The need to shed these feelings will be paramount. Neptune can confuse the issues and can make it seem like the solution is the answer when it’s really just the first step. Alternatively, it may mask the true feelings and allow you to sublimate them once again. Venus will enter Taurus on 03/31/2010. Venus rules Taurus so it feels at home there, very comfortable. When we feel comfortable we let our guards down. Taurus likes to feel secure, satiated. Venus in Taurus is going to highlight the good and the bad. In a nutshell? The overwhelming theme of the recent few months has been the shedding of relationships and self defeatist energies and this will be a time that it comes home to roost. Did you take those steps? Did you break it off? Did you start it up? Have you built up your own vision of your self worth or torn it down? When Venus enters Taurus, its counterpart, the planet Mars will be rising in Leo, squaring Venus. The tension to act, to have a relationship, to simply find peace will be highlighted. Don’t let the irritating energy level throw you off into Neptune’s deep end. Act with peace in your heart and you will come out on top, but remember to act. If you take the lower path you are setting yourself up to lose because what’s coming next is not going to allow for the taking of any prisoners! April will we a tough month so find your inner peace through the actions you know you need to do. Have that conversation. Take that initiative. It’s so much easier to get it over with than to let it run around in your head for years to come. Peace! Details: Click on the aspect to view the chart. Full Moon on 03/29/2010 at 10:25P EDT. The major theme this time of the year, represented by the Sun entering Aries on 03/20/2010 (also known as the Aries Ingress), is of course new beginnings. Aries represents the beginning of the next cycle, the origin of it all. This is the opportunity to set the tone for the next year. All new cycles are built on the ashes of the previous cycles. This is very evident in this chart as the Moon’s South Node is conjunct (next to) the Ascendant (the face you show the world) in Cancer (the sign ruled by the Moon) for Washington, DC. The Moon’s South Node represents the past, your previous lives, the things/people/places you rely on for comfort and security at its most basic, the facilities and talents you take for granted. With this so prominent in the chart it foretells that this year the past will be out front. This is no surprise given the extreme planetary activity that is and has been forming over the current time period with the peak manifestations occurring from Late May/June through the End of August. The Moon itself is in Taurus, the sign of self awareness, security and comfort. The Sun in this chart is also in a very prominent position as it is conjunct the Midheaven (hence it is right overhead). The Sun is also conjunct Mercury which has just finished a square (90 degree aspect of irritation/action) to Pluto. What does all this mean? It means that in this cycle, you, the Sun, play a more important part than usual. Sometimes life is about reacting to or dealing with the external stimuli that affect us, sometimes it is about what we generate and put out into the world. This chart tells us that we are playing an important part in the worlds events. That while the coming crises are world wide and may not be of our doing we are caught up in them. How does the macrocosm reflect the microcosm? How are the worlds’ events reflected in our daily lives? Will you get carried along with the rest or will you speak out, reach out, act out, and achieve? The day after the Sun enters Aries it will trine Mars and then oppose Saturn. When the Sun opposes Saturn it is the midpoint in the Sun/Saturn cycle which drives much of our issues in life. What did you initiate last September that is coming to fruit now? Did you start a new task, job, school? Did you take the plunge to do what you never thought you could? How is it going now? What did you do right to bring you to the current success and how are you going to use it to keep the ball rolling and form the beginnings of the next cycle? What did you not achieve? What can you gain from this experience to build the next cycle forward better than the last? Following that on 03/22/2010 Mars will sextile Saturn, an aspect that reflects the opportunity for the two planets to work well with each other. Here we have the symbols of authority, restriction, and growth (Saturn) coupled with action (Mars). Will you flinch under the thumb or will you rise to the occasion. These aspects perfect after the Aries ingress chart but are very close in the ingress chart. This affords the perfect opportunity to be able to act as needed to reap the benefits or change course as needed. Don’t hesitate or you will find yourself regretting it soon enough! By the end of the week on 03/25/2010 the Sun will square Pluto. What you have not done yet may be forced out, and probably not very pleasantly. Do you want to do the dirty work on your own terms and time frame or do you want to have to do it walking the plank? In a Nutshell? This is a time where there is massive change on the horizon and this chart is saying you have to take the high road and to act as needed. Self worth is also part of this as it has been a very active theme recently. Do you rely on others for your opinion of yourself? Do you project what you think others want to see in you? How do these tendencies go against what you are really trying to achieve and how you really are? Look to the past, what you perceive as your strengths and weaknesses and then look in the other direction. Look at what you can do to balance this with growth and development because to rest in the past is to be lost in it. If you want to survive you must grow. Relationships will be a focus, how will you use them to your benefit? If you use them to view and balance yourself they will be fruitful, if you overwhelm others with your selfish needs and desires you may get what you want but at what cost? Growth and development through it all are the keywords. Hard work and a willingness to accept the unacceptable are the tasks at hand. It’s the only way to survive. Venus is still in the forefront as it enters Aries and trines Mars, the ruler of Aries, on 03/07/2010. Venus and Aries are not usually thought of as congenial to each other as Venus rules Libra which is opposite Aries in addition to ruling Taurus which is next to Aries. With Venus trine Mars while in the sign ruled by Mars it gives Venus an opening to understand the Mars/Aries energy better than it might. As Venus’ energy is opposite to that of Mars, Venus would ordinarily have a more difficult time now, feeling the need for compromise or to give up its core values and give over to the baser, more action oriented Aries energy. As Venus was conjunct Uranus several days ago (on 03/03/2010 at the degree of the upcoming New Moon on 03/15/2010) and will be both opposing Saturn (on 03/09/2010) and squaring Pluto (on 03/11/2010) in several days, relationships have been undergoing great change recently, either forming or ending. Even those forming are finding out that it’s not all dreamy eyes that Venus wanted it to be. The underlying themes of getting rid of or correcting those relationships and patterns that no longer work from the Saturn opposite Uranus and Saturn Square Pluto aspects that have been and will continue to dominate for a while to come are brought down to the level of action by the aspects of the personal planets Venus and Mars. Venus, which has been under the gun recently to act, which is not its strong point, is now being afforded the assistance from Mars to be able to do the dirty work required to clean house. Aries is rising and Pluto is on the Midheaven for the Venus enters Aries chart further reflecting the overwhelming push to change and the ability to act. Later the same day when Venus trines Mars (a 120 agreeable angle) Mars will be rising, conjunct the Ascendant. Action is in the forefront. There is very little Earth or Air in this chart emphasizing the emotional, feeling aspects and leaving the Earthbound reality and thinking to the side. Be careful of this because by the end of the day Mercury will conjunct Jupiter at which time it all may come spilling out. Declarations of Love and against love may finally be made but the warning holds as Venus will oppose Saturn on 03/09/2010 causing the crash of reality to settle in. You may need to end a relationship or way of looking at yourself but that doesn’t mean you will like it. Saturn doesn’t concern itself with such issues, it only wants you to do what you should. Mars goes direct on 03/10/2010 from its very long retrograde period in Leo. This is why things long held back are starting to go forward. In a nutshell: This seems initially like a perfect time for Love to rule but watch out because reality will hit. Think ahead, feel ahead. Many have already started untangling their current situations so be careful of “sentimentality attacks”. A correct decision made in the light of day should be considered but not thrown away because of momentary feelings. The past is highlighted but that doesn’t mean you should dwell on it. Learn from it and move forward is the lesson. Upcoming on 03/14/2010 is the Sun conjunct Mercury, a new cycle of communications, and on 03/15/2010 the New Moon. New cycles and new ways are on the horizon, will you bring along the old as it is or change it up for the better going forward? Will you jettison the outdated, non-working relationships and patterns or will you drag them forward kicking and screaming because they are comfortable and less scary than the unknown? Don’t only think of these things in terms of relationships to others, how about yourself? Your sense of self worth and value, how does this need to change?
